GENERAL INFORMATION:

The College of Agricultural Mechanics is under the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, now the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment.

The predecessor was Ha Trung Tractor School, established in 1960 in Ha Trung – Thanh Hoa. In August 1965, the school moved to Trung My Commune – Binh Xuyen District – Vinh Phuc Province. In April 1966, the school changed its name to Farm Mechanics High School. In August 1972, the name was changed to Central Agricultural Mechanics Worker School No. 1.

In January 2007, the College of Agricultural Mechanics was established on the basis of upgrading from the Central Agricultural Mechanics Worker School 1 according to Decision No. 77/QD-MOLISA of the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs dated January 12, 2007 and Decision No. 197/QD-BNN-TCCB dated January 24, 2007 of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development on the functions, tasks and organizational structure of the College of Agricultural Mechanics.

In January 2018, the school changed its name to the College of Agricultural Mechanics according to Decision No. 907/QD-LDTBXH dated June 20, 2017 of the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs and Decision No. 4322/QD-BNN-TCCB dated October 26, 2017 of the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development regulating the functions, tasks, powers and organizational structure of the College of Agricultural Mechanics;

The school currently has 5 departments, 7 faculties, and 3 centers. The school has built a team of teachers who are united, knowledgeable, highly skilled, always innovative and dedicated to their profession, including:

+ Professional qualifications: 8 teachers with doctoral degrees, 143 teachers with master’s degrees, 53 teachers with university degrees;

+ Foreign language qualifications: 64 teachers with university degrees, 94 teachers with B1 or equivalent foreign language qualifications, 05 teachers with B2 qualifications;

+ Information technology qualifications: 203 teachers meet IT standards;
